



This is a 120 unit multi-family residential building that is an adaptive reuse project of an existing 4-story parking garage. Four stories of wood frame construction sit on a podium over the top of the existing garage. The garage serves as parking for this building and the tower next door which is an adaptive reuse office tower by a separate architect of record.

DFH completed an adaptive reuse of the earthquake damaged, historically landmarked Mayfair Theater that was downtown Santa Monica’s first theater, built in 1911. Preserving the historic theater facade, the mixed-use building that sits there today includes retail spaces along Santa Monica Blvd and 38 residential units in the four stories above.
